Emirates Airline
Emirates Airline was beginning direct service between Dubai and San Francisco, and they were also introducing the new Airbus A380. They selected California Host to help introduce their airline and new direct service to a fresh audience of travel agents, CEO’s, Government Officials and the travelling public.
California Host worked with Emirates’ event and marketing teams to deliver an exceptional series of events:

- Initial Landing at San Francisco International Airport
- Emirates Gala in San Francisco
Attendance at all events exceeded Emirates’ expectations and the Sheik of Dubai, who participated in the programs, was impressed by his Bay Area Emirates team. Our client was so pleased with our overall delivery and the experiences we created that they awarded us the highest compliment – repeat business via six more marketing events around the United States.
NGMN – Next Generation Mobile Networks
For the first time, NGMN was bringing their conference and exhibition to the United States, and they conducted an extensive search for an event planning partner. Sold by our creative solutions and experience, NGMN selected California Host to assist with their needs in venue selection, food and beverage, entertainment, registration and evening events.
All major elements of the three-day program posed unique challenges, and in all instances California Host delivered solutions to satisfy and exceed NGMN’s expectations:

After their first experience in the US, our clients were extremely complimentary to California Host for delivering such an excellent experience for their members.
Hewlett-Packard
In a competitive bid to outsource its trade show management, Hewlett-Packard selected California Host from a pool of ten companies to manage eighteen large U.S. trade shows under a two-year contract. Because California Host had enjoyed 28 years of prior history working with HP, we were in a strong position to add value to HP's tradeshow initiative on many levels. On HP's behalf, we negotiated contracts for over 50,000 room nights with hotels at major U.S. convention centers. We secured significant cost savings through volume purchasing and well-placed agreements with major suppliers. We moved 600-700 HP employees to tradeshow events at each city around the country and provided VIP transportation services to HP leadership. California Host brought to the project a wide variety of services to support their tradeshow team, successfully concluding the contract.
United Airlines
In 2004 United Airlines launched the first direct flights into Vietnam and retained California Host to develop event marketing activities surrounding the airline's Asian service routes. For three years California Host managed many promotional and logistical aspects for the California market, including a major event in Union Square to kick-off the media blitz around the first flights in and out of Vietnam and San Francisco's International Airport Terminal. A related event included the design and creation of a Vietnamese marketplace. California Host distributed over ten thousand promotional coupons throughout Vietnamese communities in the greater Bay Area, using a team of 12 staff members in themed uniforms. Our creative style played an integral part of the United service launch, creating a hook that brought 17 news outlets to the event.
Google
The Silicon Valley company that created the industry standard for Internet information retrieval-called upon California Host to build the company's rapport with a leading advertising agency that placed major ad commitments with them each year. Marketing executives at Google needed more face-to-face contact with the ad firm's leadership. California Host developed and designed a theme for Google to deliver a message, "Innovating and Accelerating the Future of Advertising." Our theme ran through every aspect of the event, from invitations to room décor to client gifts. America's greatest innovators-Edison, Bell and Disney-were showcased in life-size posters around the room, exotic model sports cars, such as Lamborghinis and Porches, were branded in Google colors to "accelerate" the event's theme. Our evening met Google's underlying goal, developing a relationship with an important partner.
BEA
In 1995, former Sun Microsystems executives, Bill Coleman, Ed Scott and Alfred Chuang, ventured off to establish BEA Systems, a global leader in enterprise infrastructure software. BEA retained California Host to develop a range of meetings and special events to support their nationwide sales and technology development efforts. In 2003, California Host designed and managed an incentive meeting to reward top performers. Over the years, California Host has taken over 900 people from BEA to Jamaica, Australia, Hawaii, Mexico and Italy. California Host has also had opportunities to manage and coordinate all company employee picnics, holiday parties, sales and customer events.
